Chris McGurk, Chairman and CEO of Cinedigm, soberly delivered this highly intelligent, analytical address as the keynote of the LA Film Festival. In it, he lays out why indie films are poised for a comeback – and how we can get there.
I think his speech is a must-see for every filmmaker and film lover. Among the stunning statistics: 85% of the seats in movie theatres go unsold every year. There’s a lot of capacity for more movies for more movie-goers, if we can change our approach and rise to the challenge.
